6th grade Social Dances for our 2024-25 school year.

A time-honored EMS tradition to learn traditional ballroom dancing. Earn PRIZES, CANDY, RAFFLE TICKETS for V-Bucks Gift Cards, Sephora Gift Cards, and so much more. A great time had with friends.

This year it will be a 5-class program taught by Arthur Murray Dance School and will provide students with a fresh, new approach to dance.

Dress

Simple party dresses or skirts & tops, dress shoes encouraged.

White Gloves to be provided by the PTA.

Jackets and ties, dress trousers (no jeans), and dress shoes are encouraged.

Location

All dances will be held in the Eastern Middle School gymnasium.

Please enter the building through the gymnasium doors.

Drop-off

Parents/guardians are requested to use the bus circle loop to drop off their child at the gym entrance. Please do not park your car at the bus circle. Please try to carpool to speed up our drop-off and dismissal process.

Schedule

All dances are held on Fridays from 6:30 pm -7:30 pm.

Sept. 20, Sept. 27, Nov. 8, Nov. 15, and Nov. 22

*Alternative dates in the event of cancellation - Jan 10, 2025 and Jan 31, 2025.

Tickets

$150 per student for all 5 sessions.

Cost includes 5 dances with instructions & prizes.

Deadline to enroll will be Sept. 19, 2024.

Volunteer

No event can be successful without your help! Please consider volunteering as a chaperone for the 6th-grade social dances. Volunteers are needed onsite 5:30pm to 8pm the day of the dance. Volunteer responsibilities include but are not limited to setting up name tags, check-in, prizes, raffle tickets and door monitors.
