13th Annual Gator Walk
Friday, October 23

In the Gator Walk, each homeroom competes to show which has the most school spirit and creativity.  The theme this year is "Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary".

EMS Gator Walk is the only student fundraiser for the year. It is separate from any money donated to the PTA.  Proceeds from the Walkathon go into the Student Activities Fund, which supports curriculum enrichment, purchasing equipment for outdoor recess, student clubs, sports & music programs, and field trips.

The school's goal is 100% student participation.

Using provided pledge forms, students fundraise by asking family and friends to sponsor their two-mile walk around the school—where they compete with other homerooms to show the most school spirit!

Cool prizes (like an Apple Watch, Apple AirPodsMAX2, and JBL Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker) are awarded to the top fundraisers in each grade, and everyone who participates gets a chance to win a variety of raffle prizes.
All parents are invited to come cheer for their students.

In addition, we are looking for parent volunteers on Friday, October 23rd from 12:15-2:30pm to help the event run smoothly.  Volunteers will be used to help set up, direct students during the walk, serve treats, take photos, clean up and of course, cheer loudly.  Please sign up only if you can stay the whole time.
