Corporate Matching

 

Corporate matching is a way for companies to encourage philanthropy by matching employees' charitable contributions. They may also contribute funds based on the number of volunteer hours served by an employee.

 

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, the EMS PTA qualifies for most corporate matching programs.  Here’s how it works: 

  1. An employee donates to Eastern Middle School PTA, a qualified non-profit. 

  2. The employee submits a matching gift request to their company, usually by completing an online or paper form, with proof of donation, through their office intranet 

  3. The company verifies the contribution and makes a corresponding donation to the non-profit.  

Specific instructions can usually be found in the Philanthropy section of your company intranet or though the Human Resources department.

  • Receipt showing donation amount: you will automatically receive one via email when you donate through the Membership Toolkit platform.  Keep this for your records. (note: PTA Membership has a value of $35. This amount is not considered a donation.)
